The brief
For wildlife photographer Dr C S N Raj, also known as Nagaraj Chindanur, photographs are both a public body of work and a growing archive. The website needs to give the images space while keeping the collection organised behind the scenes.
The public gallery
We built a photography-led website with galleries, species information and image pages. Web-sized copies serve the public site; the photographer’s original files remain separate.
Managing the archive
A private content management system lets the photographer review and organise published photographs. A companion archive tool processes batches of images and suggests species and tags using AI.
Species suggestions need human review. Confirmed identifications can guide later suggestions, keeping the photographer’s judgement central to the process.
